Boasting to have been on more sessions than Shane McGowan, Paul’s powerful bass prowess has gone from stringth to stringth , gigging locally nationally and internationally with many TV appearances has made him a force to be recorded with. He has been heavily involved with a host of different music forms from Rock, Trad , Jazz, Samba, Bossa, Salsa to EuroTriphopBigbeatTranceyStuff.
Luckily escaping injury after a stage invasion during a regular High Voltage gig in the Ulster hall in Belfast , Paul knows only too well the trauma associated with fame and notoriety.
Asked instead if he would allow himself some time off to campaign for stardom through the 'Eur a star' avenue he states that due to back problems he could not stoop to the great depths involved in such a move.
Coming from a well regarded musical family Paul attributes most of his musical focus to his daughter Cora as well as drawing influence from messrs Hendrix, Pastorius, Coltrane, Benny Andersson, Rutger Gunarrsson, Buddy Rich.
….Others messers include Michael Bolt-on, Louise Walshe not to mention Linda Martin.
